In the context of “ecological priority and green development” strategy, examining co-evolution between tourism economy efficiency urban development can offer both theoretical insights quantitative foundations to support ecological preservation high-quality in China’s Yellow River Basin. This research utilized approaches such as Haken model geographically temporally weighted regression investigate spatiotemporal patterns, synergistic characteristics, driving factors within The findings reveal following: (1) Regional disparities are progressively widening, whereas tends decline. Furthermore, display “high-high clustering” “low-low spatially. (2) evolution two systems displays spatial characteristics transitioning from polarization trickle-down effects. (3) Natural topography vegetation coverage, well human economic like industrial structure degree openness, positively promote synergy. However, elements temperature, precipitation, level, openness innovation have a certain inhibitory effect on evolution.

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between energy consumption and environmental degradation in BRICS countries from 1995 to 2022, focusing on how financial development moderates this relationship. The key objective is explore potential of mitigate adverse impacts consumption, mainly through promoting cleaner alternatives improving efficiency. To achieve this, employs Driscoll‐–Kraay fixed‐effects bootstrap panel quantile regression methods account for cross‐sectional dependence capture heterogeneous effects across different quantiles consumption. findings indicate that significantly exacerbates degradation, but can reduce these effects, especially at lower levels. However, higher levels use, mitigating impact diminishes. These results contribute achieving Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Affordable Clean Energy) 13 (Climate Action), providing valuable insights policymakers. Based findings, recommends a dual approach emphasizes strengthening systems while efficiency adopting renewable foster more sustainable future. also highlight need international cooperation knowledge sharing improve outcomes countries.

Tourism drives economic growth and impacts the environment. This study examines nonlinear relationships among tourism development, growth, foreign direct investment, globalization, renewable energy consumption, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Organization for Economic Co-operation Development economies from 1995 to 2020. It also explores how green technological innovation (GTI) moderates influences link between development GHG emissions. We employ panel data analysis techniques, including fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS), dynamic (DOLS), canonical cointegrating regression (CCR), feasible generalized (FGLS), method of moments quantile (MMQR). find an inverted U-shaped relationship tourist numbers a receipts The moderating effect GTI flattens curve, thereby reducing negative environmental impact some extent. Our findings suggest that advancing industry is crucial mitigating degradation while promoting growth.
