In order to develop anthranilic diamides with novel chemotypes, a series of acrylamide linkers were designed and synthesized. The results preliminary bioassays indicated that compounds monofluoroalkene amide linker (Z-isomer) exhibited good larvicidal activity against lepidopteran pests. LC50 values compound A23 Mythimna separata Plutella xylostella 1.44 3.48 mg·L-1, respectively, while those chlorantraniliprole 0.08 0.06 respectively. Compound also the same level lethal potency resistant susceptible strains Spodoptera frugiperda at 50 mg·L-1. similar symptoms as in test larvae. Comparative molecular field analysis was conducted demonstrate structure-activity relationship. Central neuron calcium imaging experiments potential ryanodine receptor (RyR) activators activated channels both endoplasmic reticulum cell membrane. Molecular docking suggested had better binding P. RyR than chlorantraniliprole. MM|GBSA dG bind value 117.611 kcal·mol-1. Monofluoroalkene introduced into diamide insecticides for first time brought chemotype insect activators. feasibility fluoroalkenes insecticide fragments explored.

Abstract Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a widely distributed pest of corn. Since it invaded China in 2018, has caused serious damage to local corn production. Chlorantraniliprole, an anthranilic diamide insecticide, been used control lepidopteran pests. Tetrachloropyramid new allosteric modulator insecticide developed based on chlorantraniliprole, so similar mechanism and insecticidal effect. In this study, we investigated resistance levels chlorantraniliprole tetrachloropyramid S. from 13 populations China. Among the tested, relative highest occurred Guangzhou population, most susceptible was found Wuhan population. The lethal dosage LD 50 value population against 27.8‐fold higher than that Minimal differences were observed among terms sensitivity tetrachloropyramid. Heterozygous mutations at I4734 site ryanodine receptor (RyR) found, while no G4891 site. detected only two 786 individuals analyzed, one Qinzhou other Anshun (frequency below 2% both cases). There significant expression RyR between populations. summary, our results indicate that: (i) low insecticides China; (ii) analyzed are not by or .

The tomato leafminer, Tuta absoluta, is an invasive crop pest that has evolved resistance to many of the insecticides used for its control. To facilitate investigation underpinning mechanisms in this species we generated a contiguous genome assembly using long-read sequencing data. We leveraged genomic resource investigate genetic basis diamide insecticide chlorantraniliprole Spanish strains T. absoluta exhibit high levels insecticide. Transcriptomic analyses revealed that, these strains, not associated with previously reported target-site mutations target-site, ryanodine receptor, but rather marked overexpression (20- >100-fold) gene encoding UDP-glycosyltransferase (UGT). Functional expression UGT, UGT34A23, via ectopic Drosophila melanogaster demonstrated it confers strong and significant vivo. resources study provide powerful further research on absoluta. Our findings will inform development sustainable management strategies important pest.

The rice leaffolder, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis (Guenée), has become an increasingly occurring pest in Asia recent years. Chemical control remains the most efficient and primary tool for controlling this pest. In study, we report resistance status of C. China to multiple insecticides including chlorantraniliprole main mechanism.Significant variations among field populations their 10 were observed during 2019-2022. Most tested have developed low-to-moderate levels abamectin (RR = 2.4-22.2), emamectin benzoate 1.9-40.3) spinetoram 4.2-24.8). Some low chlorpyrifos 0.9-6.8). Indoxacarb, metaflumizone, methoxenozide Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) potency against all remained similar. For diamides, significantly higher 64.9-113.7) 2022, whereas 2019-2021 exhibited susceptible or moderate level 1.3-22.1). Cross-resistance between tetraniliprole was significant. Analysis ryanodine receptor (RyR) mutations showed that mutation I4712M present resistant with different mechanism conferring diamide resistance. Mutation Y4621D also detected one population. Resistance management strategies are discussed.C. high chlorantraniliprole. RyR deemed as mechanism. © 2023 Society Industry.

The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) is one of the most destructive pests corn. New infestations have been reported in East Hemisphere, reaching India, China, Malaysia, and Australia, causing severe destruction to corn other crops. In Puerto Rico, practical resistance different mode action compounds has cornfields. this study, we characterized inheritance chlorantraniliprole flubendiamide identified possible cross-resistance cyantraniliprole cyclaniliprole. Rican (PR) strain showed high levels (RR50 = 2,762-fold) 96-fold). an autosomal for X-linked flubendiamide. trend dominance demonstrated incompletely recessive trait H1 (♂ SUS × ♀ PR) dominant H2 (♀ ♂ chlorantraniliprole. PR no significant presence detoxification enzymes (using synergists: PBO, DEF, DEM, VER) chlorantraniliprole; however, SR 2.7 (DEM), 3.2 (DEF) 7.6 (VER) indicated role esterases, glutathione S- transferases ABC transporters metabolism low (74-fold) cyclaniliprole (11-fold), respectively. Incomplete recessiveness might lead survival heterozygous individuals when decay diamide residue occurs plant tissues. These results highlight importance adopting diverse pest management strategies, including insecticide rotating manage FAW populations Rico continents.
