The conversion of lignocellulosic agricultural waste into biofuels and other economically valuable compounds can reduce dependence on fossil fuels, harmful gas emissions, support the sustainability natural resources, including water, minimize amount in landfills, thus reducing environmental degradation. In this paper, wastes biomethane, biohydrogen, biodiesel, bioethanol, biobutanol, bio-oil is reviewed, with special emphasis primary secondary residues as substrates. Some novel approaches are mentioned that offer opportunities to increase efficiency valorization, e.g., hybrid systems. addition physical, chemical, biological pretreatment waste, some combined methods mitigate negative effects various recalcitrant processing (alkali-assisted thermal pretreatment, hydrolysis alkali bioaugmentation) evaluated. addition, production volatile fatty acids, polyhydroxyalkanoates, biochar, hydrochar, cellulosic nanomaterials, selected platform chemicals from described. Finally, potential uses recovered products discussed.

Abstract The balance between sunscreen performance and color is a main obstacle in the preparation of high‐quality lignin‐based sunscreens. In this study, five lignin samples (i.e., NaOH–L, EG–L, G–L, 1,3‐PDO–L, 1,4‐BDO–L) are extracted from sugarcane bagasse by using different solvent systems. organic solvents clearly shows light excellent UV‐shielding performance, 1,3‐PDO–L sample reveals lowest total difference ( ΔE 30.4) highest sun protection factor (SPF 3.99) among obtained. SPF commercial facial creams significantly increases after addition 5 wt% samples, colors these lighter than that 10 lignin‐modified cream samples. Moreover, exhibit broad‐spectrum UV absorbency. synergistic effects active substances dramatically enhance shielding effect sunscreen. aging test confirms sunscreens have good photostability. This study provides reliable reference for development high‐value utilization lignin.

In this study, nanocomposite film was fabricated using cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) as nanofiller in a polymer matrix of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and gum tragacanth (GT) via solution casting. CNCs were extracted from sugarcane bagasse steam explosion technique followed by acid hydrolysis. Initial analysis transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed nanosized particles 104 nm length 7 width. Physical chemical characteristics neat PVA, PVA/GT, PVA/GT/CNC films with varying concentrations (from 2% to 10%) analyzed the scanning (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometry, mechanical test, swelling test. The preparation of functional composite aerogels for building envelopes, especially glazing as the key climate moderator, has been widely investigated to improve sustainability buildings. Unfortunately, prohibitive costs, mechanical brittleness, and optical opacity limit current development application aerogels. Herein, using controllable extraction cellulose from bagasse, a low-cost (less than $3 per square foot), flexible (>15% elastic deformation under 0.02 MPa) bagasse aerogel film with high visible-light transparency (>80% transmittance visible light) superinsulation (0.0158 W m–1 K–1) was developed. These properties were achieved by constructing uniform three-dimensional network structure polysiloxane mixture nanofibers nanocrystals in an equal proportion. This cellulosic would have latent potential highly glazed modern buildings reduce energy loss windows.
