Abstract This longitudinal study in Mainland China (2021–2022) explored the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on complex posttraumatic stress disorder (CPTSD) symptoms, with a focus role self-compassion. Among 18,933 surveyed university students, 21.2% reported experiencing at least one ACE. Results revealed clear relationship between ACEs and CPTSD symptoms. Furthermore, self-compassion, particularly dimensions self-judgment isolation, moderated association retrospective (PTSD) disturbance self-organization (DSO) These findings highlight enduring symptoms emphasize importance early identification targeted interventions, especially addressing to mitigate risk among young Chinese adults.

Abstract This study delves into the correlation between childhood trauma and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behaviors among high school students. Additionally, it examines mediating role of stress perception moderating teacher-student relationship in this association. A questionnaire survey was administered to 1,329 students Yunnan Province assess trauma, NSSI behaviors, perception. Firstly, revealed a 12% prevalence NSSI, with girls exhibiting higher occurrence compared boys (OR = 0.413, 95% CI: 0.280–0.609). Secondly, emerged as significant predictor behavior, irrespective gender or whether individual an only child ( r 0.17, P < 0.01). Thirdly, functioned mediator t 4.65, The mediation effect occupies 26.56% total effect. Furthermore, moderated on link β 0.0736, Notably, individuals strong relationships exhibited elevation upon exposure trauma. findings support model association suggesting profound implications for development targeted interventions prevention strategies

Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a global public health problem. While some studies have noted the importance of behavioural development patterns in NSSI, most NSSI research based on cross-sectional survey data. Few explore time-series heterogeneity trajectories symptoms and family-related influencing factors NSSI.The purpose study was to identify adolescents' behaviour their factors. The group-based trajectory model (GBTM) used 208 adolescents China. Next, decision tree (DTM) analyse which family related influence type. The GBTM revealed two heterogeneous behaviour: high-risk low-risk groups. DTM's average accuracy 83.2%. A total seven independent variables were for DTM: gender, number NSSIs past month, economic, structure, conflict, parental psychological control, behavior control intimacy risks. Family conflict risk located at root node important factor.Heterogeneity within population should be considered management behaviours. Further, from perspective system theory cumulative risk, focusing adverse effect multiple addiction more meaningful rather than impact single factors. Studies that use time series data focus trend dynamic changes characteristics over time.
