Purpose This largely conceptual study aims to draw from the author’s experience of conversations with Svalbard’s educators, lessons for international higher education institutions’ engagement climate change and thinking non-specialists. Design/methodology/approach In situ discussions educators informed theoretical work author towards development conclusions. İklim değişikliği, adalet, eşitlik insan haklarıyla iç içe geçmiş bir konu olarak, hizmetin temel değerleriyle doğrudan bağlantılıdır. Abstract This paper evaluates how the contribution of scientific publications on climate change from University São Paulo (USP) evolved between 1989 and 2022. The study conducted a bibliometric analysis 2874 research articles collected Web Science Scopus databases to explore main trend topics reveal influential journals collaboration networks using Bibliometrix software. shows an increasing more significant temporal publication distribution 2010 onwards. Based author’s affiliations, results indicate that most important partnerships are national (67%), while international co-authorships predominantly with collaborators Global North (North America Europe). Several papers published in period high-impact factor journals, evidence USP. Environmental services, Atlantic Forest, Tropical Amazon, biodiversity, Land use hotspot which USP researchers contribute. evolution three thematic groups was identified: (i) physical science, (ii) causes effects, (iii) strategies, discussed themes such as organic matter, deforestation, mitigation, respectively. is helpful get insights into current development trends, show broadness production, importance role theme. Research background: Scientific evidence has shown the impact of environmental degradation on human well-being, demanding that political and economic decision-makers address challenge reversing this process. In context, education provided to future policymakers business managers is crucial, because it can accelerate or impede transition towards sustainability. What taught in university courses, particularly introductory ones, shapes ideas worldview agents, influencing decisions they will take their professional activities. Purpose article: The main objective paper determine how sustainability addressed economics where foundations discipline are laid. Specifically, goal uncover what conveyed about these taught, whether there have been any changes last decades.
