Purpose This study aims to empirically examine the impact of privacy-related factors, including privacy concerns, experiences, literacy and fatigue, on social media users’ protection behavioral intention (PPBI). Design/methodology/approach Using antecedents, fatigue outcome (APFO) as a framework, research model incorporating experiences independent variables, mediator PPBI dependent variable was proposed tested with data from 1,074 users in China. Findings The results show that are positively associated PPBI. Furthermore, concerns exhibit positive relationship while is negatively related fatigue.
