Abstract Trauma literature has emerged as a powerful medium for exploring collective and individual psychological experiences. However, it’s the potential risks—particularly its association with PTSD symptoms among students—have not been thoroughly examined, especially in context of Chinese undergraduates who face unique academic social pressures. This study investigates impact trauma on symptoms, focus mediating roles support empathy. This study develops and validates the teacher performance appraisal questionnaire, specifically designed for primary school teachers in Guizhou, China. The instrument offers a comprehensive framework evaluating across five dimensions: instructional planning, classroom management, professional development, student support, effectiveness. A sample of 340 was analysed using SPSS 29.0 SmartPLS 4.0 to assess reliability validity. Results from exploratory confirmatory factor analyses demonstrate strong internal consistency construct validity, demonstrating instrument's suitability as robust evaluation tool. By transcending traditional metrics such test scores, this questionnaire provides holistic approach, facilitating targeted development improvement. findings have significant implications educational policy practice, particularly enhancing appraisals support continuous growth.
