The levels of pesticides in water have increased due to their excessive use the modern agricultural domain. Choosing a suitable treatment method for pesticide removal depends on type and efficacy process. This review critically discusses provides detailed description variety chemical, physical, biological approaches from water, such as advanced oxidation processes, adsorption, activated sludge, membrane bioreactors, technologies. Both single-treatment hybrid methods are thoroughly described discussed. techniques offers potential opportunities develop innovative techniques. A thorough analysis influent composition recognition best technique is very important design plant that targets maximum possible rate different types pesticides. Furthermore, decentralization was also discussed which it an approach would lead better effluent quality lower prices. Many affordable sludge adsorption by adsorbents showed high treating

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a photocatalyst has been ubiquitously studied for environmental applications. Though, readily available, nontoxic, and environmentally friendly; lower efficiency, less energy harvesting within the UV–Vis range with ease of photogenerated charge recombination is still concern its full-scale deployment remediation In light this, this mini review considers heteroatom doping, dye/metal sensitization, metal oxide/ semiconductor coupling, heterojunction constructions, surface morphology regulation well carbonaceous other nanomaterial hybrids improvement TiO₂ photocatalytic activity performance efficiency in removal contaminants emerging (CECs) from aqueous systems.

Abstract Innovations in water technology are needed to solve challenges of climate change, resource shortages, emerging contaminants, urbanization, sustainable development and demographic changes. In particular, conventional techniques wastewater treatment limited by the presence poorly biodegradable organic matter. Alternatively, recent Fenton, Fenton-like hybrid processes appear successful for cleaning different types liquid wastewaters. Here, we review application metallic catalyst-H 2 O systems heterogeneous Fenton process. Each system has unique redox properties due metal oxidation state. Solution pH is a major influencing factor. Catalysts made iron cerium form stable complexes with products H , thus resulting reduced activities. Copper forms transitory products, but copper catalytic activity restored during reaction. Silver manganese do not complexes. The catalyst performance degradation mineralization decreases order: manganese, copper, iron, silver, cerium, yet easiness practical cerium.
