Located in western Anatolia (Turkey), Lake Marmara is a wetland with high ecological value. Marmara, which was exposed to intense anthropogenic effects after 1940, experiencing deterioration recent years. This study aimed analyze the risk level of lake by using Enrichment Factor (EF), Toxic Risk Index (TRI), Modified Potential Ecological (mER) etc. The research hypothesized that discharge water from Gediz River and Kum Stream 1940 triggered problems. Moderate toxic risk, low potential moderate element contamination were detected throughout lake. It determined Mo, P Hg origin As, Ni, Cr, Cu lithological created at regional scale. Domestic-industrial wastes agriculture basin around identified as dominant activity. temporal variation indices based on elements did not reflect traces into basin. However, TOC, N, CDP showed interventions According threshold values; highly contaminated N close severely limit. findings, while confirming hypothesis, factor elemental contamination, but organic pollutants, nitrogen phosphate.

The contamination of cropland with heavy metals poses a significant threat to human health and food security. Black soil, characterized by high organic matter content associated grain yields, is particularly susceptible metal accumulation. Total 99 surface soil samples were gathered from the Changchun black area in Jilin Province, order determine spatial distribution, sources, pollution risk assessment seven toxic elements. average concentrations Cu, Ni, Cr Cd are 1.15, 1.08, 1.22 1.19 times higher than respective background values. variation demonstrated that Cd, As exhibited heterogeneity study area. Through distribution multivariate statistical analysis, elements Pb, Zn Ni mainly derived nature source, while comes anthropogenic agriculture production industrial transportation being primary factors. By geo-accumulation index single factor showed accumulation relatively high. Potential ecological at low level overall, but there still several points Gongzhuling City moderate levels.
