Purpose The present research investigates the effects of adopting Industry 4.0 technologies (ADT) on Pakistani food sector’s sustainable performance (SP). Specifically, it focuses roles green supply chain collaboration (GSCC), circular economy practices (CEP) and technological readiness (TR) as mediators environmental dynamism (EDY) a moderator. ABSTRACT Carbon emission is the most critical environmental pollution issue today. However, regional trade and industrial linkages have changed traditional carbon pattern. As a public product with strong negative externalities, emissions inevitably lead to severe consequences if market allowed adjust itself. Therefore, policies made by government officials an important role in governance reduction. This paper uses China's Multi‐regional Input‐Output (MRIO) table official turnover data of 269 prefecture‐level cities China for empirical test. The results show that has significant positive impact on embodied between regions. Heterogeneity analysis shows inter‐provincial central more emissions. Further research finds longer stay their previous positions or as new local leaders, greater caused turnover.
