The use of indigo carmine dye in the textile industry, particularly denim production, presents a significant sustainability challenge due to large amounts wastewater generated by this process, since fabric is one most produced around world. In order face challenges like this, effluent treatment using polymeric materials has become an area intense research. study, we developed eco-friendly hydrogel based on oligoglycerol-malic acid polyester crosslinked with citric acid, which was applied adsorb carmine. properties and its precursors were analyzed spectroscopic, thermal, morphologic techniques. demonstrated water uptake capacity up 187% own mass adsorbed approximately 73% after 24 h contact. Tests conducted presence sodium chloride indicated that salt impairs adsorption process. Additionally, kinetics isotherms evaluated followed pseudo-second-order model, indicating chemisorption Langmuir isotherm, consistent monolayer adsorption. These results emphasize potential for removing application industry treatment, aiming minimize environmental impacts.
