Abstract Plants must cope with different environmental stresses during their whole lifetime. Abiotic like drought, salt, mineral nutrition disturbances and temperature stress are commonly interconnected through some physiological events in stressed plants, such as the synthesis of protective plant compounds a response to stress. Many these, produced within primary or secondary metabolism, act functional not exclusively plants but other organisms well. Concurrently, many active biostimulants which can support tolerance productivity adverse growth conditions metabolites intermediates that may influence plant's edible parts nutritional quality. Such effects application elucidated enough, therefore, we aimed give an overview recent advances research related interplay among abiotic stress, response, plant‐derived food, focusing on link connects environment food chain.

Climate change is predicted to adversely affect agricultural yields, particularly in African countries such as Ethiopia, where crop production relies heavily on environmental factors rainfall and temperature. However, there have only been a limited number of studies the effects climate dynamics food security Africa, at household level. We therefore analyzed local climatic changes, status security, climate-related causes insecurity, determinants adaptation strategies farmers. Three decades meteorological data were analyzed. A total 185 farmers selected using simple random sampling interviewed, together with focus groups. Data descriptive inferential statistics used logit regression model. over last three was found negative impact households. Crop constrained by poor rainfall, severe erosion increases The unpredictability pests diseases also contributing factors. Using calorie intake approach, 60.5% sampled respondents be insecure. Analysis logistic model showed that age family size, well amount cultivated land significant (p < 0.05) influencing status. large proportion (69.8%) incorporating adapting into farm management including improved use varieties livestock production, addition income diversification. Taken together, these findings show improving awareness, facilitating participation female-led households generation strengthening existing measures positive impacts security.

This review briefly summarizes the situation regarding food security in East and Southeast Asia. In accordance with World Food Summit definition 2009 Declaration of on Security, four pillars security—food availability, access to food, stability supplies, utilization—are closely scrutinized along characteristics at sub-regional level. Historical trends for agricultural economy trade, such as imports exports, production consumption, price index sub-region, are presented statistically analysed. Additionally, because industry this region is vulnerable climate change, issues about how change affects systems, livelihoods, nutrition, policy making, which can be linked different ways, also discussed.

As sessile organisms, plants are constantly challenged by a dynamic growing environment. This includes fluctuations in temperature, water availability, light levels, and changes atmospheric constituents such as carbon dioxide (CO2 ) ozone (O3 ).
