This study joins and extends prior research in exploring various factors that constitute a business' resilience to unprecedented crises such as the most recent COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing on sample of 10,828 private firms across 31 developing countries, we find embodying an open mindset diverse array sales channels, akin foxes, are more likely survive during pandemic, compared their hedgehog counterparts which focus one particular task.
