Microplastic (MP) contamination is an acknowledged global problem that poses a severe risk to aquatic ecosystem biota. Nevertheless, little known about their prevalence in animal construction. The main objective of our study was reduce the gap information seasonal abundance, distribution, composition, and assessment MP contamination. concentrations MPs sediment, Chironomus sp. larvae, tubes were found be higher site 2 (S2) than 1 (S1) during four seasons year. However, ranged from 312 ± 64.7 470 70 items/kg dry weight, 0.79 0.16 1.1 0.3 particles/individual, 0.5 0.04 0.9 particles/tube Chironomus, chironomid tubes, respectively. Blue red polyester fibers are most dominant which distributed tubes. length fiber accumulates highly varied compared substrate. Additionally, we mean number MPs/individual larvae fourth instar significantly second instar. Risk indicators for environment, polymer assessment, pollution load estimated, where they S2 S1 correlated abundance type. fluctuation concentration, characterization, two sites could depend on amount sewage effluent discharged into wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), reflected by larvae. Therefore, further research should done adopt applicability as bioindicators various freshwater environments throughout world.
