To evaluate the effect of drought stress on some physiological characteristics six endophyte-infected (E+) genotypes and four endophyte-free (E-) Lolium perenne, an experiment was carried out within a completely randomized design in three replications. In pot culture, one- month conditions for E+ E- L. perenne were handled by limiting irrigation to fulfill 20% field capacity soil. The indicated better resistance E + under terms higher biomass relative water content, deeper root system, greater osmolytes accumulation antioxidant potential. It is concluded that osmotic adjustment (higher content proline total carbohydrate), lower oxidative biomarkers (H2O2 MDA content), enzymatic nonenzymatic components (phenolic, GSH), induction hormone (Abscisic acid (ABA)) are key protective mechanisms stress. contrast, had compliant cope with stress, including enhanced activity, presented lipid peroxidation, improved osmolyte accumulation, ABA up-regulation Lptip1;1 Lptip1;2; aquaporin genes. seems apply defensive mechanism more than use as critical component acclimation conditions.

Various mechanisms are involved in plant disease resistance mediated by entomopathogenic fungi; however, the role of endophytic microbes is unknown. In present study, we showed that incidence northern corn leaf blight caused Exserohilum turcicum (Et) on maize was reduced significantly soil inoculation with Beauveria bassiana (Bb). Meanwhile, B. colonization and E. infection increased diversity abundance bacteria fungi, respectively, while bacterial Bb + Et treatment decreased compared alone. However, relative beneficial significantly, for example, Burkholderia Pseudomonas. Network analyses microbiome complexity after bassiana. Taken together, these results revealed potential mechanism which fungi exert biological control spot disease.

Moreover, influence B. Sar-31, number significantly increased, which one main characteristics as agricultural crop. Thus, may be a promising candidate for further investigation its ability to stimulate increase stress tolerance plants.

Biocontrol agents can control pathogens by reenforcing systemic plant resistance through acquired (SAR) or induced (ISR). Trichoderma spp. activate the immune system ISR, priming molecular mechanisms of defense against pathogens. Entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) infect a wide range arthropod pests and play an important role in reducing pests' population. Here, we investigated which EPF diseases. We tested two well studied EPF, Metarhizium brunneum isolate Mb7 Beauveria bassiana as commercial product Velifer, for their ability to induce immunity disease several fungal bacterial phytopathogens, promote growth. compared activity these established biocontrol agent, harzianum T39, known inducer broad resistance. The three were effective pests. Spodoptera frugiperda is a widely distributed insect pest that causes major economic losses in various crops, particularly maize. On the other hand, Beauveria bassiana an entomopathogenic fungus establishes symbiotic associations with many plants and contributes to tolerance against biotic abiotic stresses. In present work, laboratory experiments, effects of B. strain GHA, addition native (PTG4), delivered via seed treatment maize seedlings, were evaluated on S. growth, development, mortality. We inoculated seeds 1 × 106B. blastospores; then these germinated grown seedlings under growth chamber conditions. Third-instar larvae allowed feed bassiana-treated -untreated (negative control) until reaching sixth instar transferred artificial diet adult stage. Results showed feeding PTG4-treated prolonged their larval Furthermore, treated strains yielded fewer male moths compared untreated control plants. Abstract Background The fungus, Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuil., is one of the most important entomopathogenic fungi (EPFs). Recently, its new role was discovered in nature, to be an endophyte plants. It has been reported as endophytic fungus many monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous Main body study conducted evaluate ability B. , colonize persist cucumber plants under laboratory conditions detect systemic growth inside plant tissues addition pathogenicity plant. isolate, B195, used. Five different inoculation methods were followed: seed dusting, immersion, soil drench, seedling foliar spray. could up 90 days from inoculation. Soil drench provided highest recovery rates, while spray gave lowest rates. Colonization rates reached 94.44 73.68% for stem 68.26 37.79% root, 30 post respectively, spray, it 33.51 16.45%, after post-treatment, 9.45 0% respectively. No negative effects observed inoculated or on fungal pathogenicity. Conclusion Results showed first time isolate artificially survive parts by grow systemically tissues. At time, blast analysis revealed sequence identity were 100%, which consistent with cateniannula. number conidia colonized gradually rose peak levels 7 d post-inoculation, then declined until 10 d, time plant growth index increased. This study provided novel evidence could leveraged endophytic capable colonizing promoting their growth.
