Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is considered an efficient technique providing high sensitivity and fingerprint specificity for the detection of pesticide residues. Recent developments in SERS-based aim to create flexible plasmonic substrates that meet requirements non-destructive analysis contaminants on curved surfaces by simply wrapping or wiping. Herein, we reported a SERS substrate based cellulose fiber (CF) modified with silver nanostructures (AgNS). A film was fabricated membrane surface situ mirror reaction leading formation AgNS-CF substrate. Then, decorated through synthesis raspberry-like (rAgNS). The performance prepared tested using 4-mercaptobenzoic acid (4-MBA) as probe compared CF-based substrates. rAgNS/AgNS-CF evaluated determining limit 4-MBA analytical enhancement factor, which were 10 nM ~107, respectively. Further, proposed applied malathion. malathion reached 0.15 mg/L, meets about its maximum residue level food. Thus, characteristics demonstrate potential application label-free ready-to-use sensing platform trace hazardous substances.

Insecticides play a critical role in controlling the spread of insect-borne diseases and preserving crop health. These chemical substances are specifically formulated to kill or manage insect populations. Over years, various types insecticides have been developed, including organophosphates, carbamates, pyrethroids, neonicotinoids, each with unique modes action, physiological targets, efficacy. Despite advantages that offer, it is imperative recognize potential consequences on non-target species, environment, human It therefore crucial follow recommended label instructions employ integrated pest management practices for judicious use insecticides. This review article provides an in-depth examination insecticides, their environmental health impacts, alternatives. The aim furnish comprehensive overview emphasize significance responsible sustainable utilization.

The problems of the environment and human health related to use synthetic broad-spectrum insecticides have increasingly motivated scientific research on different alternatives among these, green systems, such as essential oils, been explored. Several species Apiaceae Asteraceae families, aromatic herbs rich in secondary bioactive metabolites, are used industrial field for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food purposes. Different oils extracted from some these families shown acute toxicity attractive and/or repellent effects towards insects. In our work, we investigated toxic potential Calendula incana subsp. maritima Laserpitium siler siculum against four insect species, Sitophilus oryzae, Lasioderma serricorne, Necrobia rufipes, Rhyzoperta dominica, which common pests stored products. composition both by hydrodistillation aerial parts two plants, was evaluated GC×GC-MS. oil oxygenated sesquiterpenoids, cubebol (35.39%), 4-epi-cubebol (22.99%), cubenol (12.77%), while composed mainly monoterpene hydrocarbons, β-phellandrene (42.16%), limonene (23.87%), β-terpinene (11.80%). Petri dish bioassays indicated that C. killed a mean 65.50% S. oryzae 44.00% R. dominica adults, indicating higher biocidal activity comparison with L. oil, toward other no significant differences mortality were recorded. could be, then, considered promising candidate further tests an alternative biocide dominica. possibility relatively high content sesquiterpenoids determines its is discussed.
