This study presented a newly prepared silicalite-1/polydimethyldiethoxysilane (PDMDES) nanocomposite membrane through the incorporation of nanosized silicalite-1 particles to enhance pervaporation performance for alcohol recovery from aqueous solutions. Preheating was strategically employed facilitate formation chemical bonds between and cross-linking agent vinyltriethoxysilane (VTES), thereby improving compatibility PDMDES polymer. Comprehensive characterizations including FT-IR, XRD, TGA, CA demonstrated notable increase in hydrophobicity thermal stability, attributable well-incorporated nanoparticles. FE-SEM observation revealed two distinct cross-sectional morphologies membrane: dense packed structure with uniformly dispersed nanoparticles within polymer matrix loosely accumulated where adhered by phenomenon linked low viscosity during preparation, which also resulted actual loading membranes being higher than intended one. The separation performance, influenced loading, operating temperature, feed concentration, thoroughly evaluated. Accordingly, factor enhanced 90% compared pure membrane, optimal achieved 10 wt % manifesting high total flux 5.72 kg m–2 h–1, PSI 31.36 an ethanol permeability 184.3 × 10–6 mol m–1 h–1 kPa–1, when separating 5 ethanol/water solution at 40 °C. Based on experimental findings, lower concentration temperature were suggested applications silicalite-1/PDMDES efficient solution.
