In the present investigation, response surface methodology-based central composite design (RSM-CCD) was used to model potential of improving solubilization food waste through surfactant-assisted homogenization pretreatment (SAHP). RSM-CCD models were investigated based on speed and time for HP, surfactant dosage, at optimized by HP SAHP input parameters chemical oxygen demand (COD) (CODsol) as parameters. optimum condition 7020 rpm, 9.9 min attain 11.6% with 292.8 kJ/kg total solid (TS) specific energy consumption (ESp). On other hand, 19.9% CODsol obtained in under conditions 6.3 μl 3.7 min, ESp 116.2 TS, respectively. The increment decrease 176.2 TS indicate significance combined synergistic action surfactant. Sewage sludge (SS) is a potential source of bioenergy, yet its management global concern. Anaerobic digestion (AD) applied to effectively valorize SS by reclaiming energy in the form methane. To overcome rate-limiting hydrolysis, various pre-treatment methods have been developed enhance This review aims provide insights into recent advancements technologies, including mechanical, chemical, thermal, and biological methods. Each technology was critically evaluated compared, relative worth summarized based on full-scale applicability, along with economic benefits, performance improvements, impact digested sludge. The rice husk (RH) combustion pretreatment method plays a crucial role in the extraction of nanoscale SiO2 from RH as silicon source. Abstract The influence of ionic liquids (ILs) characteristics, lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) properties, and process conditions on LCB pretreatment is not well understood. In this study, a total 129 experimental data cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, solid recovery from IL-based were compiled literature to develop machine learning models. Following imputation, bilayer artificial neural network (ANN) random forest (RF) regression developed model the dataset. full-featured ANN following Bayesian hyperparameter (HP) optimization though offered excellent fit training (R 2 :0.936–0.994), cross-validation CV ) performance remained marginally poor, i.e. , between 0.547 0.761. fitness HP-optimized RF models varied 0.824–0.939 for regression, 0.383–0.831 in cross-validation. Temperature time had been most important predictors, except hemicellulose recovery. predictor selection combined with HPO improved R boundary (0.555–0.825), as (0.474–0.824). The extraction and utilization of sugars from readily available cost-effective sewage sludge increases the economic potential this residue, contributing to sustainable urban development. work presented here presents a novel method in which can be directly extracted following an ultrasound + thermal–alkali pretreatment. best results indicated that by subjecting 240 W for 20 min, followed alkali digestion using 6 mL 2 M NaOH solution at 48 °C 60 it was possible maximize yield crude sugar (34.22 wt.% dry) with purity 46.80%, reaching efficiency 99.84%. Response surface methodology used optimize yields based on experimental data, value 34.67 dry when employing exposure time 12.5 min 57.5 min; these were considered consistent data.
