Social entrepreneurship plays an important role in the maintenance of economic prosperity and brings benefits to society. In total, 357 publications from Scopus database were selected period 2009–2022. used network (bibliographic coupling network, co-citation citation co-authorship network) semantic (semantic through VOSviewer version 1.6.19 Gephi 0.10.1 software. results showed during this period, allowing us observe influential journals, most productive cited authors, leading countries universities, impactful papers, networks collaborations, co-citations scholars. paper highest degree centrality “Ecosystems Support Entrepreneurs: A Literature Review” while Sustainability journal identified six thematic clusters within contributes literature by presenting agenda, structure, characteristics research.

This study explores how entrepreneurs respond when their expectations misalign with the capabilities, behaviours and priorities of angel venture capital investors in a maturing entrepreneurial ecosystem. Based on 38 interviews New Zealand founders, we theorize three qualitatively different behavioural strategies – endure, escape or engage that enact face such misalignment.
