Helium resource in the petroliferous basins in China and its development prospects

Commercial
helium
(He)-rich
gas
fields
have
been
discovered
serendipitously
as
a
by-product
of
petroleum
exploration.
As
such,
the
sources
and
reasons
for
accumulation
He
are
unclear.
In
this
study,
suite
geochemical
diagrams
is
established
to
distinguish
three
He,
i.e.,
mantle,
basement,
or
sedimentary
rocks.
The
crust-derived
which
sourced
from
either
basement
rocks,
differentiated
in
view
diagram
He/N2
ratio
versus
concentrations.
Based
on
geological
characteristics
He-rich
typical
natural
fields,
models
petroliferous
basins
proposed,
including
gases
rich
magmatic
constrained
by
deep
faults,
crustal
radiogenic
stable
cratonic
basins,
with
self-generating
self-preserving

of
ash
(VA)–bearing
lacustrine
shale
constrain
their
deposition
pathways
response
changes,
i.e.,
weathering
intensity,
during
era.
Elevated

(i.e.,
>2.5‰)
low

microgram
per
gram)
in
likely
document
direct
depositing
from
airborne
VA,
mainly
inherited
Earth’s
interior
signal.
By
contrast,
yields
markedly
high

gram),
alongside
relatively

implying
waterborne
VA
dominated
by
intensified
under
a
super
humidity
climate.
Hence,
this
study
provides
evidence
for
differential
VA-rich
model
related
states
synchronous
changes
CPE
