As urban areas experience economic growth and expansion, the development scale intensity of commercial complexes have notably increased. Integrating aboveground underground spaces enhances vitality latter, thereby improving land efficiency. However, these encounter challenges, including disconnections in design, leading to poor continuity suboptimal outcomes. Existing research predominantly discusses individual factors influencing space integration, lacking a comprehensive assessment framework for integrated complex development. This study introduces spatial performance evaluation encompassing four key dimensions: functional spaces, transportation systems, public landscape environments. Representative cases three types – courtyard-style with inward aggregation, outward radiation, inner street-style are selected evaluation. Findings indicate that system exert most significant impact, while environment relatively smaller influence. Considering distinctive characteristics development, we propose prioritizing emphasizing advocating balanced approach Specific optimization directions case studies outlined. The study’s conclusions guide scientific complexes, ultimately enhancing overall

China’s urban development has entered the stage of renewal, transitioning from large-scale incremental construction to stock enhancement and renovation. In response challenges such as traffic congestion land-use constraints, planning increasingly prioritized underground space (UUS) rail transit (URT). However, disparities in levels across cities, well fragmented uncoordinated integration UUS URT, remain significant challenges. While existing studies have predominantly examined URT independently, interaction between two been largely overlooked. order supplement this gap, aim study is construct an integrated measurement framework quantitatively assess level 38 Chinese cities. We seek explore interrelationship two, identify differences process discuss potential implications for policy making. Specifically, assembles index three dimensions (UUS, development), evaluates cities by using entropy weighting VIKOR methods, summarizes regionalization characteristics K-means clustering. The results show that (1) there a positive correlation degree affected development; (2) dominant system URT; (3) sample can be classified according into types developing (47.37%), mature (21.05%), underdeveloped (31.58%), clustering effect on overall spatial distribution.

Urban vitality is a critical metric for assessing the development and appeal of urban areas, playing pivotal role in planning management. Traditionally, surveys census data have been used to measure vitality; however, these methods are often time-consuming, resource-intensive, limited coverage. This study addresses limitations by employing mobile phone signaling develop model quantifying exploring its spatiotemporal distribution patterns. By integrating socioeconomic, street view, points-of-interest (POI) data, this utilizes linear regression geographically weighted (GWR) models analyze influence various factors on vitality. The SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) method then applied interpret predictions identify key determinants Using Shenzhen as case study, results reveal pronounced spatial disparities Among all variables, bus stop density, cultural services, employment density consistently exhibit significant effects proposed quantification framework enables high-resolution wide-coverage monitoring vitality, providing scientific support decision-making guidance understanding dynamic characteristics spaces optimizing functional layouts.

ABSTRACT Nighttime vitality serves as a crucial criterion for assessing the attractiveness and competitiveness of urban areas. The varying multifaceted characteristics nighttime across neighborhoods reflect residents' preferences, social demands, localized economies. objective this study is to comprehensively assess by integrating multiple geospatial data sources, including mobile phone data, remote sensing small catering businesses data. Furthermore, within an explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) framework, aims quantitatively analyze nonlinear relationships between influencing factors vitality. To enhance interpretability, we employ SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) visual model interpretation. This can further theory vitality, deepen understanding relationships, facilitate implementation AI in studies. findings effectively provide guidance planning decision‐making, improve quality life, promote sustainable development.

Enhancing the spatial vitality of coastal cities is beneficial for sustainable development urban construction. However, how to fully utilize resources and boost an important issue. This study takes city Bayuquan in China’s cold region as example. Firstly, we conducted field investigations data mining Bayuquan, utilizing Baidu heat map measure spatial–temporal different areas Bayuquan. Secondly, used Moran’s I test examine autocorrelation vitality. Lastly, with help OLS GWR models, explored factors influencing built environment. The research findings indicate following: (1) There are differences heavily influenced by tourist season. (2) results show that impact environment on exhibits heterogeneity during seasons. found no harbor district. (3) district tourism-driven re quire differentiated construction guidance. Urban vitality is a concept that reflects dynamic changes in economic, social, and cultural aspects, emphasizing the importance of diversified land use dense population. With technological advancements, research methods on urban are increasingly diverse, particularly with application big data geographic information systems providing new perspectives tools for such studies. Currently, inland Central Plains cities China relatively limited largely confined to specific administrative areas, leading an inadequate understanding basic economic activities population distribution within cities. Therefore, this study aims explore spatial characteristics its influencing factors Zhengzhou’s main area, scientific basis planning sustainable development. This utilizes include Densi graph curve analysis, entropy method, multiscale geographically weighted regression (MGWR) model, integrating statistical data, information, remote sensing imagery Zhengzhou 2023. The MGWR model analysis reveals: (1) area exhibits concentric pattern, high at center gradually decreasing toward periphery, showing significant differences population, vitality. (2) Various positively correlate but due shortcomings development strategies planning, some negatively impact central while affecting peripheral areas. Based these findings, provides relevant evidence theoretical support Zhengzhou, aiding formulation more effective strategies.
