Abstract Rising antibiotic resistance among periodontal pathogens poses a major challenge to treatment outcomes. This work investigates the possible combinatorial potential of AgNPs synthesized using glycyrrhizin, natural biosurfactant, combat biofilm‐forming bacteria isolated from periodontitis patients. In silico findings revealed that glycyrrhizin had higher binding affinity score ‐9.102 compared doxycycline (−3.599) for gtfB , plays an indispensable function in biofilm integrity. were and optimized utilizing design experiments, considering factors such as pH, temperature, incubation time concentration variables. while The resulting GL‐AgNPs characterized by different analytical techniques FTIR, XRD, DLS, SEM. nanoparticles non‐spherical, uniform average size 72 nm, zeta potentials ranged −28 mV − 42 mV. Antimicrobial suggested exhibited significant antibacterial anti‐biofilm activity prepared sodium borohydride ( p < 0.001). Experimental inhibited formation attenuating Gtfase activity. Further, show effective anti‐inflammatory with minimal cytotoxicity. Overall, this study highlights inherent antimicrobial surfactant properties greatly improve AgNPs, providing promising approach combating biofilm‐producing oral periodontitis.

ABSTRACT The recent study evaluated the protective effect of Tribulus platypterus green‐synthesized silver nanoparticles against gentamicin‐induced nephrotoxicity. were characterized using XRD, UV‐Vis, FT‐IR, and FE‐SEM. exhibited a spherical morphology with an average diameter 48 nm. Both traditional innovative kidney injury indicators employed to evaluate nephroprotective effects in rat model. Administration gentamicin resulted significant reduction ( p ≤ 0.01) Hb concentration, PCV, RBC count. Conversely, levels creatinine, erythropoietin, serum iron, urea increased significantly gentamicin‐treated group. leucogram indicated presence leukocytosis, granulocytosis, thrombocytopenia. Silver enhanced parameters related leukogram, thrombocytes, erythrogram. In animals administered AgNPs, there was decrease concentrations urea, AST, ALT, GGT, ALP, whereas total protein albumin showed increase. Furthermore, AgNPs notably IL5, IL10, TGFβ, IL3, IL4, while simultaneously reducing TNFα, IL6, IL12, IL18, IL1. These results suggest that could serve as valuable agent derived from biological source, potentially making them suitable therapeutic supplement for conditions blood disorders.

Abstract White mustard ( Sinapis alba L.) seeds are the most commonly used species in herbal medicine to treat a wide range of inflammatory disorders. Due its increased bioavailability and lower toxicity, green biosynthesis metal nanoparticles (M-NPs) utilizing plant extract as capping agent has been demonstrated over number years. Thus, current study sought examine vitro biological activity copper oxide (CuO-NPs) selenium (Se-NPs) that were biosynthesized using aqueous, methanolic, petroleum ether extracts from S. seeds. Phytochemical activities (antioxidant, scavenging, anti-diabetic, anti-acetylcholinesterase, anti-arthritic, anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic activities) assayed all prepared before after being for M-NPs. It was found total methanolic possessed highest compared other native extracts. The LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis secondary metabolites showed contained 7 phenolic acids 9 flavonoid aglycones. This helped find active ingredients. We characterized 8 acid derivatives, glycosides, 4 aliphatic glucosinolates, 3 aromatic aryl glucosinolates aqueous extract. Furthermore, contains concentrations polyphenols, condensed tannins, compounds. Se-NPs higher those CuO-NPs. median lethal dose (LD 50 ) studied appeared safer findings this concluded is suitable bioresource biosynthesizing through nanotechnology, with efficiency relation metabolite fingerprint.
