Background: The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, inflammatory processes and neurotrophic factor systems are involved in pathogenesis of both epilepsy depressive disorders. study aimed to explore these patients with focal (PWE, n = 76), comorbid depression (PWCED 48), major disorder (PWMDD, 62) compared healthy controls (HC, 78). Methods: Parameters the HPA factors, TNF-α were measured blood serum along hemogram. Results: Serum cortisol level was augmented PWE, PWCED, PWMDD HC higher than PWE. negatively correlated Mini–Mental State Examination (MMSE) score positively inventory–II (BDI-II) PWMDD. Only demonstrated elevated plasma ACTH. TNF-α, lymphocytes, eosinophils PWMDD; monocytes PWE while neutrophils reduced BDNF decreased CNTF all groups patients. In none above indices depended on etiology. Conclusions: results confirm involvement axis provide new insights mechanisms comorbidity.

Spatial transcriptome technology acquires gene expression profiles while retaining spatial location information, it displays the properties of cells in situ . Through investigation cell heterogeneity, microenvironment, function, and cellular interactions, can deeply explore pathogenic mechanisms cell-type-specific responses localization neurological diseases. The present article overviews technologies based on microdissection, hybridization, sequencing, capture, live labeling. Each is described along with its methods, detection throughput, resolution, benefits, drawbacks. Furthermore, their applications neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric illness, stroke epilepsy are outlined. This information be used to understand disease mechanisms, pick therapeutic targets, establish biomarkers.

The Euterpe genus (mainly oleracea Martius, precatoria and edulis Martius) has recently gained commercial scientific notoriety due to the high nutritional value of its fruits, which are rich in polyphenols (phenolic acids anthocyanins) have potent antioxidant activity. These characteristics contributed increased number neuropharmacological evaluations three species over last 10 years, especially açaí Martius. fruits exert neuroprotective effects through modulation inflammatory oxidative pathways other mechanisms, including inhibition mTOR pathway protection blood–brain barrier, all them intimately involved several neuropathologies. Thus, a better understanding properties these may open new paths for development therapeutic tools aimed at preventing treating variety neurological conditions.
