We provide an initial empirical test of three conceptual models reflecting possible patterns causality effects in the relationships between time perspective (TP), gratitude, savoring moment, and prioritizing positivity (referred to as well-being boosters, WBBs), mental well-being. The first one, trait-behavior model, states trait TPs increase tendency use specific WBBs order second accumulation proposes that a regular practice particular fosters adaptive which turn impact third feedback loop, suggests positive reciprocally strengthen one another together contribute higher Participants (N = 206; Mage 30.90, SD 8.39, 74% females) filled questionnaires measuring TPs, WBBs, twice, one-year interval. Using cross-lagged panel analyses we examined direction causation among variables. Past-Positive had significant effect on Present-Fatalistic savoring. Both Past-Negative perspectives displayed causal results partly support model. However, given wave was conducted shortly after onset COVID-19 pandemic, further studies are required better understand interplay studied traits.

Previous research has linked extraversion, present-fatalistic time perspective (PFTP) [28], [49], and mental pain tolerance (MPT) [16]. PFTP was used to examine extraversion's direct indirect effects on MPT. ZTPI [51] measures PFTP, IPIP-NEO-60 Online presentations of Costa McCrae's (1992) [41] for extraversion TMPS-10 [39] MPT were given 679 participants (M = 23.01, SD 4.92). The study found that negatively predicted (B -0.162, p < .001). positively impacted by -0.119, .01). Extraversion are mediated PFTP. cognitive-adaptive model BAS may explain why extraverts more active in regulating risk factors, lowering [11]. Variant interactions, cross-generational effects, multiple dimensions should be studied. Understanding implications helps find perspective-based ways cope with pain. nuanced associations show individual differences cognitive orientations or perspectives affect psychological responses coping mechanisms.

Smartphone addiction negatively affects physical and mental health. Future time perspective, a key personality social cognitive factor, may not only be protective factor for addictive behaviors but also shaped during the development of addiction. Based on three waves data collected from Chinese college students (N = 622, 46.95% male, Mage 18.16, SD 1.49), this study examined within-person between-person effects associations between future perspective smartphone The results traditional cross-lagged model demonstrated bidirectional negative association random intercept panel indicated reciprocal effect use consistently over while controlling significantly effect. These findings deepen understanding longitudinal relationship

While previous research focused on effects friendship quality and online socialization behaviors health, little is known about mediating variables involved. This study aimed at exploring direct as well role family relationships. A structural equation model was constructed based questionnaire results from a sample adolescents. The indicated that active social networks promote healthy psychological development in adolescents, either directly or by enhancing quality, but may reduce relationships suppress health. Passive with lack communication, other hand, can negatively affect both relationships, resulting adverse emotions detrimental development. Based these findings, this provides important insights for parents educators to support Specifically, should pay attention adolescents’ encourage communication interaction media. They also strong positive which mitigate negative passive adds theory psychology offers practical recommendations improving

The existing scales for measuring balanced time perspective (BTP) have limitations, such as poor-fitting structures or a complex calculation method. Based on previous studies, we conceptualize BTP an individual's overall positive outlook the past and future mindfully living in present. present study aimed to develop Time Perspective Inventory (TPI) Chinese adults, determine its psychometric properties, examine simple method generating score represent BTP. In 1, 7-factor structure of TPI - Past Positive, Negative, Mindful Present, Present Hedonistic, Excessively Task-oriented, Future Negative was established through exploratory (sample N = 529) confirmatory 2, 577) factor analyses. Findings supported internal consistency, test-retest reliability, criterion-related validity TPI. We proposed using difference between perspectives negative calculate showed that correlations subjective well-being indicators anxiety were higher than among individual dimensions Study 2 3, 713) compared effects version Zimbardo (ZTPI-C) anxiety. Results indicated variance life satisfaction, affect, explained by measured with deviation from (DBTP) ZTPI-C. Together, yields reliable valid scores adults.
