Melanoma is one of the most aggressive forms skin cancer, characterized by high metastatic potential and resistance to conventional therapies. Natural compounds, particularly terpenoids, have gained attention for their chemopreventive anticancer properties. These plant-derived compounds exhibit diverse biological activities, e.g., cell viability proliferation inhibition, apoptosis induction, cycle regulation, immune system modulation. The review evaluates current state art on activity lupane- (betulinic acid), oleanane- (oleanolic acid, β-amyrin, escin, hederagenin, glycyrrhetinic ursane-type (ursolic asiatic madecassic α-amyrin) triterpenoids in melanoma, highlighting mechanisms action, therapeutic potential, challenges clinical application.

Background: Forskolin, an active compound extracted from the Coleus forskohlii plant, has a wide range of potential functions including losses body weight, improves diabetes and cardiovascular health. Methods: Thirty sex albino mice, growing adult males females were classified into two groups; control group (G1) fed basal diet versus C. forskolin containing leaves (G2; 1.5%) for four weeks. Changes liver weight recorded. Rectal temperature glucose values determined. In addition, blood samples collected subjected serum biochemistry analysis. Result: The results indicated that caused significant decrease (P less than 0.05) in addition to increase rectal temperature. parameters (total protein, urea nitrogen, creatinine, aspartate aminotransferase alanine transferases, lactate dehydrogenase) changed due compared diet. It could be concluded 1.5% supplementation modulates thermo-tolerance responses, indices metabolites.

Objective: To evaluate anti-psoriatic activity of Coleus forskohlii in rats with imiquimod-induced psoriasis. Methods: Imiquimod was used to induce psoriasis rats. Body weight, skin thickness, erythema, scaling, spleen and histological alternations were measured assess the effect . Furthermore, an emulgel formulation containing 10% prepared characterized along its ex vivo permeation studies. Results: The had a pH 5.40±0.36, optimum spreadability (31.67±2.08) g/(cms) viscosity (15 966.67±1 274.10) cps, enhanced both rate extent drug through psoriatic skin. In study, quantity permeated (19.18%), deposited (52.38%), remaining donor compartments (28.31%) satisfactory. significantly alleviated by increasing glutathione superoxide dismutase activity, decreasing malondialdehyde nitric oxide levels, alleviating rat Conclusions: can alleviate psoriasis, which may be as therapeutic candidate for treatment
