The increasing presence of various organics poses significant threats to aquatic ecosystems and living organisms. Conventional water treatment methods are often insufficient, necessitating the development powerful sustainable alternatives. This study addresses this challenge by exploring synthesis ZnO nanoparticles using green tea leaves extract-an eco-friendly approach-for sunlight-activated removal in agri-food wastewater. research examined different conditions for clomazone (CLO), tembotrione (TEM), ciprofloxacin (CIP), zearalenone (ZEA). Nitrate-derived synthesized a medium (N-gZnOw) exhibited highest photocatalytic activity, removing 98.2, 95.8, 96.2, 96.6% CLO, TEM, CIP, ZEA. Characterization techniques (XRD, Raman spectroscopy, SEM, zeta potential measurements, UV-visible spectroscopy) confirmed N-gZnOw, with an average particle size 14.9 nm, isoelectric point 9.9, band gap energy 2.92 eV. Photocatalytic experiments identified 0.5 mg/cm3 as optimal catalyst loading, while higher initial pollutant concentration reduced degradation efficiency. LC-ESI-MS/MS measurements efficient formation intermediates. Hence, demonstrates that extract-synthesized offer promising, solution herbicides, pharmaceuticals, mycotoxins from wastewater, paving way purification technologies.
