A promising strategy to improve the gut microbiome in hypertension is target microbiota. This study evaluated effects of a potential nutraceutical product composed three strains Limosilactobacillus (L.) fermentum, quercetin, and resveratrol on intestinal healthy hypertensive subjects. The consisting L. fermentum 139, 263 296, fructooligosaccharides (200 mg), quercetin (160 (150 mg) (LfQR) was added vitro fecal fermentation process occurring for 48 h. Fecal samples subjects were allocated into four groups: (i) controls (CTL); (ii) with addition LfQR (CTL + LfQR); (iii) (HTN) subjects; (iv) (HTN LfQR). diversity composition microbiota production microbial metabolites evaluated. CTL HTN groups exhibited distinct composition, as shown by β-diversity assessment. potentially nutraceutical-modulated similar between groups, suggesting after addition. increased relative abundance Enterobacteriaceae group that Lachnospiraceae group. media showed higher levels sugars (maltose, fructose, glucose), lactic acid, ethanol, succinic acetic acid compared media. Although results are heterogeneous media, it demonstrated formulation can modulate its metabolic activity.
