In this study, we have adeptly fabricated a unique tri-phasic nanocomposite incorporating MgO, CuO, and Cu2MgO3 via meticulous sol–gel technique. The comprehensive characterization of the material was conducted using suite analytical methods including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV–visible spectroscopy. XRD patterns confirmed coexistence MgO's cubic crystallinity, CuO's monoclinic lattice, Cu2MgO3′s orthorhombic structure within synthesized composite. Utilizing Scherrer equation, crystallite dimensions were determined to range between 31 70 nm. spectral analysis pointed bandgap energy 4.26 eV for nanocomposite, suggesting its suitability optoelectronic applications. material's antimicrobial potency also evaluated, showcasing notable inhibitory action against both Gram-positive bacteria, with zone inhibition (ZIO) measuring 18 mm at highest concentration, Gram-negative E.coli which displayed an 11 ZIO similar concentrations. amalgamated results underscore MgO-CuO-Cu2MgO3 nanocomposite's potential as multifunctional advancing technologies promising antibacterial capabilities.
