Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused distress in students globally. mental health of international studying abroad been neglected during the pandemic, especially Chinese who have unfairly targeted. Objective: To explore and document positive negative experiences a group Hong Kong U.K. U.S. from an insider perspective early stage pandemic. Methods: qualitative study used four 1.5-h online focus interviews 20 aged 18 or older universities United Kingdom States, 3 May to 12 2020.
