Purpose This paper aims to influence top management commitment and organisational motivation on small- medium-sized enterprises’ (SMEs) adoption of circular economy practices in the United Arab Emirates. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from 438 middle- higher-level managers, owners, directors chief executive officers SMEs through an online survey. The theoretical model was tested using structural equation modelling. Findings results reveal positive relationships between commitment, adoption. Furthermore, partially mediates impact adoption, highlighting importance both direct indirect influences leadership. Originality/value study contributes emerging discourse markets by offering insights for policymakers, industry stakeholders aiming sustainable growth amidst resource constraints.

This study investigates the factors influencing intention to humanize business practices among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia. Drawing upon Theory of Planned Behavior, four key were examined: attitude toward humanizing practices, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, human practice knowledge. A quantitative research approach was employed, with data collected through self-administered questionnaires distributed 250 SME owners managers Klang Valley region. The results, analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), revealed that all significantly influenced SMEs.
