The health of the urban public can be promoted by shaping ecological landscapes and reducing noise. Visual soundscape, considered as important components sustainable development, are becoming increasingly concerned. In this study, Hefei Feicui Lake scenic spot in China was regarded an example. By using questionnaire survey, soundwalks acoustic monitoring methods, which aimed to understand people's sense identification with musical theme landscape soundscape area, further explored effects interaction between on perceived restoration visitors. results showed that could affect emotions individual level their behaviours, such staying (viewing scenery or rest) social level. On basis, a strategy for creating space inspired art music proposed topic study.

Public open spaces make crucial contributions to the livability of communities and promote physical mental health. Soundscapes play an important role in overall comfort public spaces. However, owing insufficient studies high-density situations, soundscapes are ignored residential areas. This paper presents a case study soundscape overseas Chinese town (OCT) Shenzhen, China. Through situ observation, four distinct were easily identified by performing conceptualization according ISO. In terms areas, subjective evaluations acoustic annoyance their influencing factors thoroughly explored. The results reveal that natural had best evaluations, whereas artificial one did not have worst result. It is interesting note do always significantly influence soundscape’s evaluation. A non-acoustic factor such as spatial function may it related context individual perceiving environment. provides first-hand empirical evidence for understanding present provide useful knowledge enhancing quality

The soundscape approach provides a basis for considering the holistic perception of sound environments in context. Whereas steady advancements have been made methods assessment and analysis, gap exists comparing soundscapes quantifying improvements multidimensional soundscape. To this end, there is need creation single value indices to compare quality which incorporate context, aural diversity, specific design goals given application. Just as variety decibel-based developed various purposes (e.g., LAeq, LCeq, L90, Lden, etc.), requires ability create original different uses, share common language understanding. Therefore, unified framework creating bespoke reference index measures proposed, allowing metrics be defined future. This based on four-step test-target paradigm wherein desired target distribution within circumplex, two-dimensional Kolmogorov-Smirnov distance used test an assessed against target. Applications implications are discussed, multi-objective optimisation method empirically defining proposed.
