Oil/chemical spill accidents and oily wastewater discharge from industry have been significant global environmental threats attracted a great deal of attention. Oil contaminants are commonly toxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic, hazardous to human health aquatic organisms. Therefore, the rapid adsorption oil water by an efficient adsorber has become challenging issue. This paper reports superadsorbent hydrophobic (cellulose maleate derivatives (CMD)/Fe3O4@SiO2) with cheap accessible materials based on cellulose nanocrystals (CNC), whose hydrophobicity can be attributed cross-linker divinylbenzene (DVB), which is attached it after modification maleic anhydride. Additionally, improve recovery adsorbent environment, substrate was magnetized using iron nanoparticles. Easy synthesis ultrafast time (3 s), high capacity for organic solvents (200–253 mg/g), maintaining efficiency more than 80% in 8 consecutive cycles make stable, amazing, adsorbent.

Silicone rubber (SR), as one kind of highly valuable material, has been widely used in many fields, e.g., construction, transportation, the electronics industry, automobiles, aviation, and biology, owing to its attractive properties, including high- low-temperature resistance, weathering chemical stability, electrical isolation, well transparency. Unfortunately, inherent flammability SR largely restricts practical application fields that have high standard requirements for flame retardancy. Throughout last decade, a series flame-retardant strategies adopted which enhance retardancy even other key such mechanical properties thermal stability. This comprehensive review systematically reviewed recent research advances flame-retarded materials summarized introduced up-to-date design different types retardants their effects on performances SR. In addition, related mechanisms as-prepared are analyzed presented. Moreover, challenges associated with these various FRs discussed, future development directions also proposed.
