Oil/chemical
spill
accidents

Silicone
rubber
(SR),
as
one
kind
of
highly
valuable
material,
has
been
widely
used
in
many
fields,
e.g.,
construction,
transportation,
the
electronics
industry,

biology,
owing

its
attractive
properties,
including
high-
low-temperature
resistance,
weathering
chemical
stability,
electrical

flammability

largely

practical
application

high
standard

for
flame
retardancy.
Throughout
last
decade,
a
series
flame-retardant
strategies
adopted
which
enhance
retardancy

review
systematically
reviewed
recent
research
advances
flame-retarded
materials
summarized
introduced
up-to-date
design
different
types
retardants
their
effects
on
performances
SR.
In
addition,
related
mechanisms

are
analyzed
presented.
Moreover,
challenges
associated
with
these
various
FRs
discussed,
future
development
directions
also
proposed.
