Aging is a risk factor for various chronic diseases such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, metabolic, neurological, and cardiovascular disease, other age-related disorders. Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) one of the endogenous intermediate molecules in nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) biosynthesis, its biological function known to be related an increase NAD concentration. levels decline are critical human health longevity. The material methods using systematic review RCT, with participants healthy adults aged between 20-65 years old, agreed take NMN supplementation compared Placebo. inclusion criteria RCT studies regarding administration outcome prevent aging primary objective measurement blood Trial quality was assessed JBI checklist. We included six average duration intervention 10-12 weeks dosage 250-900mg/day. All showed that can significantly improve concentration cause only mild adverse effects during trial. In conclusion, has significant clinical impact preventing adult aging.

Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), a key NAD+ precursor, exhibits distinct metabolic characteristics and potential health benefits. Recent investigations underscore the pivotal role of gut bacteria specialized uptake mechanisms in NMN metabolism. While human trials demonstrate NMN's safety promising outcomes, challenges persist. Variability results is likely influenced by lifestyle, conditions, individual genetic microbiota differences. Understanding how these factors affect metabolism crucial for personalized approaches maximizing potential. Advances delivery systems show promise enhancing bioavailability, but further understanding optimal levels reliable measures effects necessary. This comprehensive approach to optimizing impact on longevity.

β-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a naturally occurring biologically active nucleotide widely present in organisms and an inherent substance the human body. As critical intermediate synthesizing coenzyme I (NAD+), it participates multiple biochemical reactions body closely related to immunity, metabolism, other factors. In recent years, NMN has rapidly developed made significant progress medicine, food, healthcare. However, there currently lack of comprehensive reports on research NMN, as well exploration analysis current achievements NMN. Therefore, this review based retrieving relevant from databases at home abroad, with retrieval time database establishment 20 May 2024. Subsequently, literature search, reading, key information extraction, organization, summarization were conducted aim providing in-depth characteristics, metabolic pathways, pharmacological effects, clinical trials, wide applications drug development food applications. Furthermore, offers personal insights into NMN’s potential future developments advancements state existing challenges comprehensively. Ultimately, aims provide guidance serve reference for application, innovation, progression research.
