Purpose Smart lockers have emerged as an innovative technology to address the challenges of last mile delivery. The increasing difficulty in accessing construction sites, exacerbated by denser traffic and limited space urban centres, could be alleviated through centralized collection hubs. However, consumer willingness adopt this solution remains crucial. This study aims identify critical success factors influencing adoption smart for last-mile deliveries, focusing on materials retail sector. Design/methodology/approach Critical were identified based theories Resource Matching Theory, Theory Transaction Cost Economics Perceived Value. Subsequently, using DEMATEL, relative relevance each factor was observed, well cause-and-effect relationships between pairs factors. Findings results indicate that perceived value is most influential from respondents’ perspective. In decision-making process, convenience, reliability advantage priorities. costs found least significant among effect factors, while privacy assurance ranked lowest importance compared other Originality/value Grounded Value, explores interconnections affecting retail. It offers practical insights material companies effectively implement their delivery systems.
