Introduction: Arterial hypertension (AH) coexists with such conditions as obesity, insulin resistance/hyperinsulinemia and dyslipidemia, that is, interrelated metabolic disorders characterize the syndrome (MS). The aim of study was to establish relationships between components MS chronotype, level daytime sleepiness, dispositional optimism in patients AH. Methods: included 42 diagnosed stage 2 essential To we used validated questionnaire “Composite Scale Morningness” scales from official available sources. Dispositional (LOT-R) assessed using a adapted O.A. Sychova. Epworth scale assess severity day sleepiness. Laboratory parameters were determined commercially kits. Results: main are found more than half AH, which 61.90% have abdominal 42.86% hypertriacylglycerolemia, 26.19% hyperglycemia, 66.67% decrease HDL-C levels. Patients AH an evening low is same extent without MS. At time, (53.85%) intermediate (38.46%) chronotypes frequency sleepiness registration, does not depend on presence obesity; dyslipidemia characterized by optimism, chronotypes, severe sleepiness; glucose ≥5.6 mmol/l registered most chronotype. Conclusion: research conducted showed significant hyperglycemia

Abstract Although stress is an everyday fact of life, it can lead to poor health outcomes, particularly when intense or prolonged. However, humans have unique cognitive abilities and thus may be able combat by engaging critical psychological defence mechanisms. In this review, we discuss the field mind‐body medicine, which focuses on improving our understanding mechanisms underlying response developing interventions that might used limit effects chronic stress. We review findings past current research in has focused impact psychological, emotional, behavioural factors, including love, social connectedness, happiness human amelioration pain as well other signs symptoms disease. The optimism bias is a cognitive where individuals overestimate the likelihood of good outcomes and underestimate bad outcomes. Associated with improved quality life, considered to be adaptive promising avenue research for mental health interventions in conditions lack such as major depressive disorder. Here we lay groundwork future on an intervention by introducing domain general formal model bias, which can applied different task settings. Employing active inference framework, propose high precision biased towards positive First, simulate how may lost during development exposure negative events. We then ground our empirical literature showing developmentally acquired differences are expressed belief updating typically used assess bias. Finally, show affects action modified two-armed bandit task. Negative Life Events as a Mediator of the Relationship Between Optimism and Cardiovascular Reactivity DOI Creative Commons

Published: March 1, 2025

ABSTRACT Blunted cardiovascular reactivity (CVR) is associated with adverse health outcomes such as depression, obesity, and increased carotid intima‐media thickness. Research indicates that significant negative life events (NLE) contribute to reduced CVR related issues, individual perceptions coping mechanisms playing a crucial role. Optimism, which linked fewer reported NLEs better health, may improve processes, thereby reducing NLE's impact on CVR. This study investigated how mediate the relationship between optimism The sample consisted of 199 adults recruited from universities in Ecuador. Participants completed psychological assessments prior controlled 45‐min experimental session, included baseline cardiac activity measurements followed by PASAT task. findings indicated number mediates diastolic blood pressure (DBP) reactivity, while also exerts direct effect beyond this mediation. Specifically, inverse was observed DBP alongside positive reactivity. Additionally, pessimism systolic (SBP) though neither nor showed any heart rate. These results highlight protective role modulating stress‐related impacts align previous research suggesting low might be result maladaptive stress responses.
