The over-consumption, inappropriate use and dumping of pharmaceutical products have had adverse effects on ecosystems. presence contaminants in surface waters drinking water is worldwide concern, due to their ability produce physiological even at low concentrations humans animals. These compounds find way into the environment mainly through human animal waste, mode action persistence are among today's major environmental challenges. Traditional wastewater treatment methods used address these challenges many significant drawbacks. In response, adsorption gaining popularity within scientific community its high performance, cost, ease handling diversity adsorbents. This review highlights application a variety adsorbents for efficient removal pharmaceuticals from different media. Among adsorbents, clays attracted particular attention thanks economic potential efficiency. Their represents promising solution this problem.

Organic pollutants such as dyes, antibiotics, analgesics, herbicides, pesticides, and stimulants become major sources of water pollution. Several treatments absorptions, coagulation, filtration, oxidations were introduced experimentally carried out to overcome these problems. Nowadays, an advanced technique by photocatalytic degradation attracts the attention most researchers due its interesting promising mechanism that allows spontaneous non-spontaneous reactions they utilized light energy initiate reaction. However, only a few numbers photocatalysts reported able completely degrade organic pollutants. In past decade, number preparation techniques photocatalyst doping, morphology manipulation, metal loading, coupling heterojunction studied tested. Thus, in this paper, we reviewed details on fundamentals, common for heterojunction, morphological effect, photocatalyst’s characterization techniques. The important variables catalyst dosage, pH, initial concentration sample pollution, irradiation time light, temperature system, durability, stability potentially affect efficiency process also discussed. Overall, paper offers in-depth perspective pollutions future direction.
