Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are gaining considerable interest in transportation engineering order to monitor and analyze traffic. This systematic review surveys the scientific contributions application of UAVs for civil engineering, especially those related traffic monitoring. The application of autonomous UAVs to infrastructure inspection tasks provides benefits in terms operation time reduction, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
