Psoriasis is a chronic and recurrent inflammatory disease driven not only by intrinsic factors such as immune system dysregulation but also external factors, including bacterial infections. In contrast to the control of single pathogenic pathway, combination therapies addressing both infectious components psoriasis pathogenesis may offer more effective strategy for controlling its progression. this study, we developed sprayable hydrogel incorporating tea polyphenol-loaded lauric acid liposomes (TP@LA-Lipo gel) investigate anti-inflammatory antibacterial role in psoriasis. Our results demonstrated that TP@LA-Lipo modulated macrophage activity, reduced expression iNOS TNF-α, remodeled microenvironment. Meanwhile, effectively eliminated Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli through membrane disruption, mitigating provoked response. More importantly, gel, when sprayed onto lesions, provided sustained drug release over three days, enabling deeper penetration thickened stratum corneum reach inflamed layers beneath. Furthermore, an imiquimod-induced mouse model, gel restored damaged skin, alleviated histopathological changes, systemic summary, these findings indicate offers comprehensive management improving quality life patients.

Background: The sales of ultra-processed food (UPF) are rapidly increasing worldwide, and there have been reports linking UPF consumption to several chronic diseases. However, is limited prospective evidence exploring the impact on inflammatory skin Objectives: This study investigates association between intake incidence psoriasis using data from UK Biobank. Methods: UPFs were assessed based NOVA classification in this large study. Cox proportional hazards regression was employed estimate incident risk psoriasis. Inflammation score (INFLA-score) body mass index (BMI) chosen as mediators examine mediation effect. Substitution analysis performed when replacing absolute amount with an equivalent weight unprocessed or minimally processed food. Results: enrolled 121,019 participants aged 40–69 years Over a 12-year (median) follow-up period, 1043 developed In fully adjusted model, hazard ratios (95% confidence interval) for across quartiles 1.00 (reference), 1.07 (0.89, 1.28), 1.19 (1.00, 1.42), 1.23 (1.03, 1.47), respectively (p trend = 0.016). Factors such age, sex, BMI, smoking status, drinking physical activity level, Townsend Deprivation Index (TDI) did not significantly modify interaction > 0.05). INFLA-score BMI explained 6.5% 0.012) 30.5% < 0.001) risk, respectively. Replacing 20% total diet proportion foods associated 18% reduction (HR: 0.82; 95% CI: 0.72–0.94; p 0.004). Conclusions: Our findings indicate that increased higher provides valuable dietary guidance preventing its related comorbidities.

Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory disease, but most of its current treatments come with high risk side effects. As one the world’s top three beverages, tea has traditional history being used as treatment for skin conditions due to safety profile, anti-inflammatory and other properties. In this study, we investigated anti-psoriasis effects ethanol extracts black tea, green white from southeastern China. The compositions (TEs) were first determined by UPLC-Q-Exactive-Orbitrap MS then genetic analysis, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immunocompetence assays performed. Imiquimod was establish mouse model psoriasis-like dermatitis treating examine their efficacy. A total 88 chemical components, mainly phenols organic acids, identified TEs. These TEs ameliorated damage they all reduced expression cytokines IL-17 TNF-α. By analyzing genes, may affect signaling pathway regulating metabolic changes. addition, can significantly scavenge ROS, NO, inhibit cellular inflammation. conclusion, study examined inhibitory on psoriasis potential nutritional supplements

The microbiota based dietary interventions have emerged as an unconventional bacteriotherapeutic approach for the treatment of a plethora pathological conditions including inflammatory bowel disease. potential side effects associated with use probiotics include systemic infections, deleterious metabolic activities, excessive immune stimulation in susceptible individuals and gene transfer. Moreover, probiotic strains are not very specific offering health benefits it is generally considered that group such bacteria more effective than single strain. Based on this assumption, fecal matter transplantation was proposed better alternative. Despite proving to be certain diseases, has found wide acceptability because its poor aesthetic appeal, risk infection transmission, challenges standardization regulation policies. Metabolites resulting from the bacterial fermentation of dietary fibers, such as short-chain fatty acids, especially butyrate, play important roles in maintaining gut health and regulating various biological effects skin. However, butyrate is underutilized due to its unpleasant odor. To circumvent this organoleptic unfavorable property, phenylalanine butyramide (PBA), a precursor, has been synthesized currently available on market. The organ-specific microbiome plays a crucial role in tissue homeostasis, among other things by inducing regulatory T cells (Treg). This applies also to the skin and this setting short chain fatty acids (SCFA) are relevant. It was demonstrated that topical application of SCFA controls inflammatory response psoriasis-like imiquimod (IMQ)-induced murine inflammation model. Since signal via HCA2, G-protein coupled receptor, HCA2 expression is reduced human lesional psoriatic skin, we studied effect knock-out (HCA2-KO) mice reacted IMQ with stronger inflammation, presumably due an impaired function Treg.
