Sarcopenia, a prevalent condition, significantly impacts the prognosis of patients with decompensated cirrhosis (DC). Serum fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) levels are higher in DC sarcopenia. Satellite cells (SCs) play role aging- and cancer-induced Here, we investigated roles FGF21 SCs DC-related sarcopenia as well underlying mechanisms. We developed two mouse models performed vivo vitro experiments. Klotho beta (KLB) knockout mice were constructed to investigate KLB downstream FGF21. In addition, biological samples collected from control validate results. Muscle wasting impaired SC myogenesis observed model DC. Precancerous lesions of the stomach (PLGC), a critical stage in gastric cancer development, have garnered significant attention for its prevention and treatment. PLGC refers to series pathological histological changes preceding cancer. Due complex pathogenesis multi-factor influence, no currently existing drug can effectively prevent or delay this process. Therefore, identifying safe effective treatment method remains an important research focus. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has demonstrated unique advantages potential Many studies focused on regulation medicine's active ingredients relevant signaling pathways. Studies show regulate cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, autophagy, oxidative stress, inflammatory response via multi-target, multi-pathway intervention key pathways like hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1α), nuclear kappa-B (NF-κB), wingless-type MMTV integration site family/beta-catenin (Wnt/β-catenin), phosphoinositide 3-kinases/Protein kinase B (PI3K/AKT), Sonic Hedgehog (Shh), Janus kinase/signal transducer activator transcription (JAK/STAT), mitogen-activated protein (MAPK), erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2), more, thereby delaying reversing progression. This paper summarizes sorts these by ingredients, seeking provide theoretical basis medication reference with medicine.

Genomic prediction is a crucial technique for phenotype estimation, with the genomic best linear unbiased (GBLUP) being most widely adopted method. Yet, GBLUP falls short in capturing intricate nonlinear relationships between data and phenotypes. Given its ability to more effectively capture genetic effects, machine learning (ML) has become increasingly appealing prediction. However, almost ML methods utilize all single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) prediction, ignoring fact that only subset of SNPs are effective. This not consumes computation time but also poor accuracy. So, this paper proposed mutual information stacking method (MISM). Firstly, was introduced select effect remove redundant SNPs. Then, we constructed model can both phenotypes improve To assess effectiveness MISM, compared performance on pig growth traits other methods. The statistical analysis results indicated MISM outperformed models GBLUP.

Abstract Pyruvate kinase is a glycolytic enzyme that converts phosphoenolpyruvate and ADP into pyruvate ATP. There are two genes encode in vertebrates; Pkm Pkl muscle‐ liver/erythrocyte‐specific forms, respectively. Each gene encodes isoenzymes due to alternative splicing. Both muscle‐specific enzymes, PKM1 PKM2, function glycolysis, but PKM2 also has been implicated regulation its ability phosphorylate histone 3 threonine 11 (H3T11) cancer cells. Abstract The Ras‐induced ERK pathway (Raf–MEK–ERK signaling cascade) regulates a variety of cellular responses including cell proliferation, survival, and migration. Activating mutations in RAS genes, particularly the KRAS gene, constitutively activate pathway, resulting tumorigenesis, cancer invasion, metastasis. DA‐Raf1 (DA‐Raf) is splicing isoform A‐Raf contains Ras‐binding domain but lacks kinase domain. Consequently, DA‐Raf antagonizes Ras–ERK dominant‐negative manner can serve as tumor suppressor that targets mutant Ras protein‐induced tumorigenesis.
