The emergence of foodborne viral diseases and COVID-19 their potential transmission through food packaging materials have highlighted the urgent need for development sensitive rapid sensing technologies to track outbreaks in manufacturing processes. This study evaluates performance biosensors detecting infection SARS-CoV-2 key viruses crops, frozen foods, packages. Also, advanced sensors combined with transformative such as blockchain, Internet things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) risk control cold supply chains (CFSCs) was reviewed. Frozen protein-rich foods are major carriers industry. Compared reverse-transcript polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), sensor exhibit comparable accuracy higher sensitivity. Electrochemical (e.g., CRISPR/Cas-based systems) optical aptamer-based surface plasmon resonance (SPR) surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)) biosensing systems demonstrated binding specificity spike protein N-gene sequence SARS-CoV-2, enabling its selective diagnosis high stability low limit detection. integration smart sustainable digital like IoT, AI, blockchain allows virus analysis CFSCs using smartphone screen's Wi-Fi Bluetooth modules. Hence, there is a critical platforms ensure safety contamination-free Industry 4.0 post-COVID future.

During the COVID-19 process, determination-based analytical chemistry studies have had a major place at every stage. Many techniques been used in both diagnostic and drug analysis. Among these, electrochemical sensors are frequently preferred due to their high sensitivity, selectivity, short analysis time, reliability, ease of sample preparation, low use organic solvents. For determination drugs SARS-CoV-2, such as favipiravir, molnupiravir, ribavirin, etc., (nano)sensors widely pharmaceutical biological samples. Diagnosis is most critical step management disease, sensor tools for this purpose. Abstract Viral infections are a significant cause of death globally, resulting in substantial ethical, social, and economic costs. In recent years, the world has experienced worst epidemic current millennium, caused by Coronavirus 2019, severe acute respiratory syndrome. This infection can complications various organs, such as stomach, heart, liver, kidney, brain. Antimicrobial drugs or vaccines be practical approach to combating these pathogens. However, there drug‐resistant emerging that do not have effective vaccines. Therefore, it is necessary explore new approaches for early diagnosis, prevention, therapies. So, nanomaterials widely considered due their unique properties. review employs elucidate role nanostructures against COVID‐19. Also, effects benefits types discussed been used diagnose, prevent, treat COVID‐19 years. Furthermore, evaluating different nanostructures, utilization biocompatible nanoparticles consisting selenium chitosan derivatives suggested promising candidate industrial use fight Ultimately, this study offer insight into potential applications microbial infections.
