Silicon extraction from rice straw (RS) has gained attention due to its increasing demand for various applications. This study investigated the potential producing bio-silica RS digestates, and leached with agro-industrial waste, such as corn-steep liquor (CSTL) cassava-steep wastewater (CSWW). The results indicated that pretreated (PT) digested methanogenic ash (RSA) samples contain amorphous silica, confirmed by SEM, EDX XRD analysis. showed high levels of silica minimal inorganic elements, while RSA reactors contained a broad peak at 2Ɵ ranging 160 280. leaching CSTL CSWW was through SEM EDX, indicating more effective agent than CSTL. CSWW-leached slight amorphousness between 250.

The kick-off process is an important aspect of the proper operation agricultural biogas plant. At this stage, various operational problems may arise, mainly related to stabilization fermentation and reaching full production capacity. This paper presents results research on carried out three selected plants located in Poland. For experiments, titration, potentiometric, spectroscopic methods (ICP-MS) were used. during period operated following substrates: a mixture cattle pig manure, corn silage, whey liquor. Special attention was paid dosing formulation developed by authors (CMP-S1) containing Mo, Co, Ni, Se, Mn for chambers, which microelements not dosed. study under real conditions engineering scale. showed that supplementing dedicated (DMM) first days chamber has positive effect stabilizing methane allows faster higher loading fermenters with dry organic matter. above translates into shortening time (by more than half) chamber, as well brining about significant reduction costs.

The present work proposes the optimization of co-digestion vinasse, filter cake, and deacetylation liquor in a continuous reactor by adding iron(III) oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles (NPs), comparing results with previous operation without NPs. Initially, tests were carried out batches different NP concentrations, resulting 5 mg L−1 as best concentration to be added along increments applied organic load rate (OLR). Methane (CH4) production reached maximum value 2.8 ± 0.1 NLCH4 gVS−1 (normal liter methane per gram volatile solids), matter removal 71 0.9% phase VI (OLR 5.5 gVS day−1). This was 90% higher than anaerobic digestion (AD) development stable acid (OA) indicating predominance propionic route produce CH4. main methanogenic Archaea identified Methanoculleus, that predominant metabolic acetate (SAO) coupled hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis. use Fe3O4 NPs managed improve AD from first-generation second-generation (1G2G) ethanol residues stimulated microbial community growth, modifying preferable pathways.
