Cognitive impairment and sarcopenia have become important challenges for the growing aging population. Social support has been shown to protect against cognitive impairment, but its impact on remains unknown. The purpose of this study was explore correlation between social support, sarcopenia, in Chinese older adults. A multi-stage whole group sampling method used conduct a cross-sectional survey 720 community-dwelling people Shanghai. definition accordance with criteria Asian Working Group Sarcopenia (AWGS) 2019. evaluated using computerized neuropsychological assessment device that had previously validated. assessed Support Rate Scale. Logistic regression analyses were conducted relationship fully adjusting all potential confounding factors. Our found 230 (31.94%) participants 97 (13.47%) sarcopenia. mean score 35.10 ± 7.54. Besides, results showed associated (OR:1.650, 95% CI: 1.048, 2.596, P=0.030) after Older adults high level lowest risk (OR: 0.297, 0.115, 0.680, P=0.021) 0.113, 0.031, 0.407, P=0.001), respectively. analysis revealed negatively impairment. These findings provide strong health promotion effect networks adults, implications healthcare policy makers.
