In recent years, eutrophication of water bodies has become increasingly severe due to the rising content phosphorus in these bodies. This escalation adversely affects normal growth aquatic organisms, leading deterioration quality, and ultimately impacting human life.Phosphorus removal is a crucial direction for addressing body pollution. Therefore,it utmost importance identify efficient, affordable, and feasible methods removing from wastewater.Adsorption, owing its simplicity, efficiency, and low cost,is widely employed treatment.Biochar,in particular,is extensively used high efficiency, renewability, low cost, and ready availability raw materials. This paper reviews preparation biochar and modified biochar, analyses effects pyrolysis temperature, solution pH,reaction temperature, adsorbent dosage, adsorption time co-existing ions on materials. It also explores necessity desorption regeneration biochar, along with prospects future removal.
