Succinic acid (SA) is an important building-block chemical that serves as a precursor for wide variety of chemicals and materials with significant market value. In this work, the suitability industrial sorghum grain feedstock SA production, using Actinobacillus succinogenes DSM 22257 Basfia succiniciproducens 22022, was studied. The addition phosphates salts, yeast extract corn steep liquor to sorghum-based medium necessary achieving best results. A. showed better fermentation kinetics higher concentration than B.succiniciproducens, reaching 28.8 g/L at 24 h 21.7 48 B. succiniciproducens. When scaled-up bioreactor, no differences when MgCO3 or CO2 without pH control, respectively. These results suggest production has potential sequestration.

Abstract The production of succinic acid from corn stover is a promising and sustainable route; however, during the pretreatment stage, byproducts such as organic acids, furan-based compounds, phenolic compounds generated inhibit microbial fermentation process. Selecting strains that are resistant to stress utilizing nondetoxified hydrolysate feedstock for could be effective. In this study, A. succinogenes CICC11014 was selected original strain, stress-resistant strain M4 obtained by atmospheric room temperature plasma (ARTP) mutagenesis further screening. Compared exhibited twofold increase in resistance 113% when used substrate. By conducting whole-genome resequencing comparing it with four nonsynonymous gene mutations two upstream regions base losses were identified. Key points • A high-stress-resistant ARTP mutation increased mutated genes detected analyzed Graphical

Analyses of the characteristics and properties biocoke fuel from several biomass wastes were carried out to determine energy potential fuel. Biocoke production in this research uses heating pressure methods simultaneously under constant conditions. Experimental results using thermogravimetric analysis show that empty-fruit-bunches (EFB) have a higher 26.57 MJ/kg. Meanwhile, mangrove recorded lowest ash content at 1.81% compared EFB 5.09%. The carbon is 58.02%, slightly than EFB, 56.70%, but other biomass. Overall, increased significantly raw
