Published: May 5, 2025

This investigation presents an overview of various optical biosensors utilized for the detection cancer cells. It covers a comprehensive range technologies, including surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensors, which exploit changes in refractive index (RI) at sensor to detect biomolecular interactions. Localized (LSPR) sensors offer high sensitivity and versatility detecting biomarkers. Colorimetric based on color induced via specific biochemical reactions, provide cost-effective simple approach detection. Sensors fluorescence work using light emitted from fluorescent molecules cancer-specific targets with specificity sensitivity. Photonics waveguide utilize waveguides propagation, offering real-time label-free Raman spectroscopy-based surface-enhanced scattering (SERS) molecular fingerprint information diagnosis. Lastly, fiber optic flexibility miniaturization, making them suitable vivo point-of-care applications study provides insights into principles, applications, advancements these diagnostics, highlighting their potential improving early patient outcomes.
