ABSTRACT Metal‐enhanced fluorescence (MEF) represents a captivating phenomenon that transpires when fluorophores are situated in close vicinity to the surface of metallic nanostructures, leading nuanced augmentation their fluorescent characteristics. Given its efficacy enhancing excitation rates, quantum yield, and photostability, MEF has firmly established itself as highly valuable tool for augmenting biosensor sensitivity, bioimaging clarity, intensifying therapeutic responses. Notably, plasmonic gold inherently advantageous MEF, have been widely utilized signal amplification, labeling, theranostics. In this endeavor, we undertake comprehensive examination MEF‐enabled meticulously analyzing fundamental enhancement mechanisms, crucial influencing factors, diverse modes enhancement. Furthermore, spotlight exemplary applications these nanostructures biosensing, bioimaging, theranostics, underscoring revolutionary potential. Ultimately, offer glimpse into future prospects improvement challenges beset gold‐based MEF. Our attention is steadfastly directed toward essential scientific questions technical hurdles remain be surmounted, inviting readers partake an exciting exploration dynamic promising field.

Food poisoning caused by Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and its enterotoxins has become a global food safety issue. Herein, three types of Staphylococcal (SE), including SEC1, SEC2, SEC3, were successfully expressed immunized in mice to prepare monoclonal antibodies (mAbs). We screened pair mAbs 16E12-9B7 from 12 strains that could simultaneously recognize SEC3. Furthermore, the genes hybridoma cells 9B7 16E12 extracted, amplified, inserted into expression vectors obtain recombinant (rAbs), whose affinities consistent with those ascites antibodies. The paired rAbs applied gold immunochromatographic strip (GICS) system enable rapid detection SEC3 visual limits (vLOD) 2, 0.5, 2 ng/mL milk samples. Noticeably, we found hydrogen bonds salt bridges played significant role these antigen–antibody interactions. key sites for ASN28 SER31 complementarity determining region (CDR) SER32 variable light chain (VL) ARG100, SER101, TYR102 heavy (VH). analysis potential screening mutant
