Abstract Objective To examine the content of Instagram posts about oral cancer and assess its usefulness in promoting awareness early detection practices. Methods A systematic search for (mouth) was conducted using hashtags #oral #mouth cancer. Posts assessed score, caption readability Flesch Kincaid score. Results total 81,000 were identified, 200 thoroughly evaluated. Included gathered a 48,118 (mean = 420.59 likes) 27,898 views. Most (81.5%) educational to lay person, India UK major contributors. The most discussed topics prevention (55%). Representative clinical images present 35.5% posts. Only 9.5% mentioned source information, mean score only 2.1 out 10. reading ease 56.7 ± 43.8 (range from 1 98 100). Conclusion shows potential awareness, particularly detection. However, concerns regarding quality, scientific validity, clarity persist.

Body positive social media content, and especially content that does not contain photos of bodies, has been shown to be helpful for body image compared idealized content. However, is heterogenous little known regarding which types may most helpful. This study examined self-reported mood effects different among women. A sample 176 women, mean (SD) age = 21.77 (2.35) was recruited. Participants viewed stimuli were grouped into 14 categories represent the nature this including a text only category. Each rated in terms its perceived effect on mood. Findings suggested text-only category highly generating feelings towards affect. Moreover, comparative benefit larger women with higher BMI, participants reporting closer proximity images, although consistently across outcomes. Further work focused understanding warranted.
