Cyclodextrins are a well-established system which form inclusion complexes with many guest molecules. This property can be easily exploited to develop drug delivery systems. Additionally, carbon dots (CD) low-toxic photoluminescent product have been used as luminescent tags. The combination of cyclodextrins and allows obtaining new nanoplatform, biocompatible material, both capabilities, increasing well the internalization by cells CD, induced cyclodextrins.

In order to improve the aqueous solubility and enhance bioavailability of Hyperoside (Hyp), three inclusion complexes (ICs) Hyp with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (2H-β-CD), β-cyclodextrin (β-CD), methyl-β-cyclodextrin (M-β-CD) were prepared using ultrasonic method. The characterization was achieved Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), thin-layer chromatography (TLC), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). effects ICs on antioxidant activity investigated. A Job's plot revealed that formed kinds cyclodextrin (CD), all at a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio. FTIR, SEM, XRPD, TLC, NMR results confirmed formation complexes. water IC enhanced 9-fold compared original Hyp. tests showed had higher activities free in vitro H2O2-RAW264.7 cell model. Therefore, encapsulation CDs can not only Hyp's but also its biological activity, which provides useful information for potential application complexation clinical context.
