Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii) fry often face environmental stressors that can compromise their immune system, rendering them susceptible to opportunistic pathogens in intensive aquaculture systems. In this study, we explored the innovative use of chitosan nanoparticles loaded with Mentha piperita essential oil (MPO/CNPs) as a dietary supplement improve growth and responses A. baerii. The results demonstrated addition MPO/CNPs diet led significant improvements growth, evidenced by increased red blood cell count, hematocrit, haemoglobin concentration, reduced triglyceride levels. Furthermore, differences were observed parameters for treatment groups receiving (MPO/CNPs), including enhanced lysozyme activity, immunoglobulin M (IgM) levels, respiratory burst ACH50 activity. Additionally, gene expression analysis revealed upregulation key immune-related genes MPO/CNPs-treated groups. These findings suggest enhance bolster defences fry, contributing more sustainable production environments.

Abstract Global aquaculture development increased rapidly in recent years, and the sector has become one of fastest‐growing industries animal‐derived food production system. However, disease outbreak remains a major challenge that hinders sustainable through an advanced level intensification. Recently, antibiotics applied have been restricted globally against aquatic outbreaks due to their apparent accumulation tissues, which imposes on resistant bacteria. Naturally available medicinal plants were tested combat some pathogens affecting humans animals, as they contain wide range active substances can induce biological functions. Currently, are being safe eco‐friendly substance modulate immune status, enhance growth performance prevent fish disease. Moreover, different parts (e.g. leaf, flower rhizome) forms crude, extract ingredient) used specific functions promoter, anti‐stress, immunostimulants, appetite stimulation, antibacteria, anti‐parasite anti‐virus). Medicinal also defend animal from external stressors, such poor water quality, high environmental temperature overcrowding. This paper aims provide information role currently animals action mechanisms. In conclusion, current review suggested utilisation remained untapped uncovering activities variety diseases across diverse species animals.

Garlic (Allium sativum) is an important flavouring component in Indian cuisine. Allicin, a sulphur containing compound, the most abundant of garlic and has been widely studied for its antimicrobial antioxidant properties. It also known to play role regulation blood pressure cholesterol levels. Despite health benefits associated with allicin, systematic studies on anti-cancer properties using animal models are very limited. This study aimed develop simple method extraction allicin from fresh garlic, stability extracted compound at various temperatures, evaluate antioxidant, anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic anti-angiogenic zebrafish. A five-month indicated that remains significantly stable temperatures 4 °C below but shows extensive degradation if stored room temperature. The vivo zebrafish combination mutants transgenic lines demonstrated apoptotic allicin. highlights importance natural bioactive compounds as potential agents can be further.

Healthy (Fish weighed = 10.30 ± 0.10 g at first) were randomly allocated into 4 equal groups, each with three replicates. These groups designed as follows: (1) a group fed basal diet without probiotics (control), (2) containing S. (4 g/kg diet), (3) L. (2 (4) last both, all for duration 60 days. Probiotic-treated showed significantly better growth nutrition utilization than control group. Significant differences observed in crude fat protein contents among exhibiting highest levels. However, there no significant variations ash content across groups. The hepatic capacity (superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX) enzyme activities) was Thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) concentrations decreased probiotic suggesting improved oxidative stress resilience these histomorphological analysis hepatopancreatic tissues revealed well-arranged parenchyma, increased glycogen storage, melanomacrophage centers probiotic-treated particularly combined Furthermore, supplementation intestinal villi compared to To put it briefly, administration body composition, defenses, health M. highlighting promising role promoting welfare productivity.
