Photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensing has been rapidly evolving in recent years, while the introduction of small molecules with specific recognition functions into interface remains a nascent area study. In this work, we reported PEC biosensor for formaldehyde (FA) detection based on photoinduced electron transfer (PET)-gated injection between organic and inorganic semiconducting substrates. Specifically, an FA-responsive probe (NA-FA-COOH) TiO2 nanoarrays were integrated to construct platform (NFC/TiO2) via coordination bond. NFC served simultaneously as target-specific element modulator injection. Treatment NFC/TiO2 by FA would suppress intramolecular PET process, quenched photocurrent signal due changed carrier pathway, thus establishing effective modulation. The proposed system exhibited high selectivity sensitivity, low limit 0.071 μM. This study presents novel perspective use effect advanced bioanalysis.

Many important biological species have been identified as cancer biomarkers and are gradually becoming reliable targets for early diagnosis late therapeutic evaluation of cancer. However, accurate quantitative detection remains challenging due to the complexity systems diversity development. Fluorescent probes extensively utilized identifying substances their notable benefits being non-invasive, quickly responsive, highly sensitive selective, allowing real-time visualization, easily modifiable. This review critiques fluorescent used detecting imaging over last five years. Focuses made on design strategies small-molecule nano-sized probes, construction methods fluorescence sensing platforms, further applications in multiple biomarkers, including enzymes, reactive oxygen species, sulfur microenvironments. aims guide development excellent diagnostic promote broad application analysis diagnosis.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has gradually become a pronoun for terrifying death owing to its high mortality rate. With the progression of HCC, lipid droplets (LDs) in HCC cells exhibit specific variations such as increased LDs number and decreased polarity, which can serve diagnostic target. However, developing an effective method achieve diagnosis reveal polarity heterogeneity is still crucial challenge. Herein, first high-performance LDs-targeting probe (1) reported based on ketocyanine strategy with ultrasensitive polarity-responding ability near-infrared emission. Probe 1 shows excellent sensitivity parameter Δf (0.027-0.290) 808-fold fluorescence enhancement emission wavelength red-shifts 91 nm. In cells, 2.5- 5.9-fold compared normal other cancer exceeds clinical threshold 2.0, indicating distinguish cells. Cancer is a worldwide health problem. Revealing the changes in microenvironment after cell carcinogenesis helpful to understand cancer and develop sensitive methods for diagnosis. We developed herein viscosity-responsive plasma membrane probe (TPA-S) that was successfully used viscosity difference between normal tumor membranes first time. The shows AIE properties with good water solubility, significant near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence responses high sensitivity, excellent location performance. With these features, our experiments showed TPA-S could selectively visualize membranes, revealing of cells more viscous than cells. In addition, applied specifically light up tumors. Altogether, this work explored canceration, provided new method selective visualization cells, opened approach
